Rendezvous: A Fresh Take on Jazz and Electropop

People get tired of hearing the same thing over and over again, especially if a song has outlived its freshness. Thankfully, the band Rendezvous makes music that doesn’t get old.
The band Rendezvous first released an EP almost five years ago. This song became extremely popular in underground circles, having been downloaded thousands of times. Now, Rendezvous has plans of hitting mainstream – with a fresh new album to boot.

All About Rendezvous

Itai Simon and Hagai Izenberg are the two music savants behind Rendezvous. After meeting serendipitously in the music school they both went to, they started a project that ended up amassing thousands of downloads. Henceforth, they came to be known as Rendezvous.
They’re not just a jazz band or an electronica band; they’re both, and possibly much more. Rendezvous is not satisfied with just making songs (and making money); they want each and every song to possess something unique. Their debut album features songs with a different mix of sounds, such as Asian instruments and a string orchestra, among other things.
Last 2004, Simon and Izenberg recorded an EP and published it online. Soon, listeners came to listen and download their EP. After realizing that their song has been downloaded repeatedly by over 7,000 fans in just a short span of time, Simon and Izenberg started collaborating on their debut album.

Why Rendezvous is Different

Taking songs to a whole new level is Rendezvous’ goal. Wanting to provide something new and interesting to the listeners is something not all artists dream of; however, Rendezvous takes it even further, not just wanting to make a ‘hit’, but aiming to make music that encompasses some of the greatest genres of music. They have truly discovered something new and are here to share it.

What’s on Rendezvous’ Plate

Rendezvous is launching its very first album after receiving an impressive confirmation of their value to the music world: thousands of song downloads from their web pages and more than fifteen thousand views on their YouTube channel. Years ago, after launching their first EP, Rendezvous immediately earned a huge fanbase. You see, although Rendezvous is still a fledgling band, they have long earned their distinguishing “music wrinkles”, so to speak.
The worth of Rendezvous as a viable band in the music industry has been recognized not only by fans, but also by pros in the music industry. Rendezvous is now working with David Bascombe, a London-based producer and mix engineer whose portfolio includes iconic names in music, such as Bon Jovi, Kylie Minogue, Suede, Natalie Imbruglia, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, and many others. Now, Rendezvous is the newest addition to the roster of talented artists Bascombe has worked with.
